Safya is an Assistant Lecturer at the British University in Egypt. Her teaching responsibilities include the delivery of tutorials on Criminology & Penology, Criminal Law, Criminal Procedures as well as Theory of Law & Theory of Rights. Beside her teaching responsibilities, Safya is the preparatory year coordinator responsible of designing induction sessions for new students among other tasks. She is, also, the Faculty’s Internship Committee Coordinator responsible of communicated with Law firms and designing summer internship for Faculty students, follow up with the Firms on students’ performance and receiving feedback from students about their experience. Safya is also a legal clinic coordinator.
Safya earned her bachelor degree from the English Section at the Faculty of Law, Ain Shams University in 2015 before earning a Master in criminal Laws from the same University in 2017. She has research interest in Criminal Law as well as International Humanitarian Law and is currently focusing on studying Law in relation to Technology through her PhD thesis on the “Criminal liability arising from the usage of artificial intelligence applications” and is enrolled at Cairo University.
